  • Project Leader Notes:
    • Third Party Contribution Questionnaires
    • Aperi storage manager Release 0.4 available on 12/6/07!
      • Thank you to everyone for the total team effort to get this out. The other half of the delivery, the SAN Simulator, has just a few more defects to address and we should be making that available soon.
      • Current R0.4 code is called /technology/aperi/Aperi-incubation-R04-071203-155550.zip. To keep consistent with our release naming convention, Todd will rename the file to: /technology/aperi/Aperi R0.4 incubation.zip
    • Management Developers Conference
      • Todd and Robert did a presentation last week on Aperi.
      • 30 people attended, 1/3 of group had heard about Aperi
      • Fielded questions about the SAN Simulator.
      • VMWare was very interested - asked for a follow-up
      • Demo - Unable to get Zen support working with Aperi
      • John and Martine attended.
      • John suggested next time to put the Novell talk under the virtualization track and keep Aperi in the storage management track
      • Overall the presentation went very well and showed how a client tool can support a standard.

      • Hans had some good news to report, The DB2 9.5 create DB problem has been resolved and he was able to expose all SANSimulator testcases.
    • Aperi R0.4 Open Defects - by priority & severity
    • Aperi Total Open Defects - by priority & severity
    • The following two defects need to be resolved before we can claim the exit of IDVT for SANSimulator code.
      • 212337 maj P2 Wind routrayr@us.ibm.com NEW No target device returned when simulating switch to storage connection - use Database to extract storage port information option
        • Ramani has looked into this and should be able to address today.
      • 211917 maj P2 Wind routrayr@us.ibm.com REOP NullPointerException occurred when simulating switch to storage connection - use CIMOM to extract storage port information option
        • Ramani has looked into this and should be able to address today.
    • Plan for this week:
      • Ramani to provide fixes today.
      • Todd to do build
      • Hans to verify fixes and run a regression - .5 to 1 day.
      • Tom to checkpoint with Hans on Tuesday morning.
      • Meet Wednesday morning, to review status. Hopefully to plan for release.

Lessons Learned Follow-up Tom 12/12/07 Put results of Lessons Learned meeting for R0.3 into a table on the wiki with corresponding action items
cvs download statistics Tom 12/05/07 Investigate if we can get any numbers for our source code downloads. Eclipse Webmaster indicates there are no statistics for cvs. Alternatively we can create source code bundles and put on our downloads page. Tom asked the team and there was no interest. Closing out this item.

    • Next Meeting
      • Due to many members of the team being out for the holidays, today is the last scheduled meeting for this year. The next Aperi meeting will be Monday, January 7th, at 9:00am Pacific. Tom will send out a meeting invite for the 2008 meetings.
