PoG

  • Advocate/Lead:
    • One person leading the effort, probably Alexander A. for 4.5.
      • Oliver has a call with Chris' management to discuss the PoG.
    • Eugene would represent IBM to evaluate quality and review requirements.
  • Target Audience:
    • Eclipse Projects.
    • Eclipse Community.
    • WTP/TPTP EPP packaging:
      • Joel will discuss the effort to package only the Trace components.
        • How much extra testing?
          • Weekly smoke testing for ~20 mins. is expected.
          • Posting weekly/iteration test results.
        • Installation footprint is an issue.
          • Consider only shipping the Trace components.
          • Come-back to WTP to also package Test (relatively small addition) and Trace.
        • Paul and Alex A. to discuss the support (type, hours, etc.) for ToG and PoG on Wednesday's PMC call.
  • Use Cases:
    • Profile on Server:
      • Eugene is currently testing.
      • As of Friday, working using the WTP/TPTP EPP (JEE EPP).

  • Scenarios/Use Cases:
    • Unit testing of local and remote Java/Eclipse applications using the JUnit/JUnit Plug-in test types.
    • Performance testing of local and remote Web applications using the URL Recorder and URL test type.
    • Data-driven unit testing using datapools.
    • Test execution results viewing using the Test Log view.
    • Test report generation using the TPTP-BIRT integration.
    • Automated test execution and report generation using the Automatable Service Framework (ASF).
    • Paul to identify the use cases (relative to JEE EPP and BVT) on the PMC call in two weeks.

Action Items

  • Alex A. to summarize the triage of PoG defects on Wednesday's PMC call.
  • Paul and Alex A. to discuss the support (type, hours, etc.) for ToG and PoG on Wednesday's PMC call.
